William L. ("Les") Kendrick: Les received his Ph.D. in Communication Theory and Research from the University of Washington in 1987. During his time there he served as a consultant at the Center for Social Science Computation and Research, helping faculty and students with the design and implementation of their research, and provided training in the use of computers for analyzing data. He has an extensive background in quantitative statistical analysis and served for seven years as the Demographer for the Seattle Public Schools. In that capacity he provided enrollment forecasts for budget and facilities planning and helped analyze the relationship between test scores and demographic information. As a consultant Les has provided demographic analysis and long range enrollment forecasts for a variety of Districts including: Bellevue, Bethel, Bremerton, Edmonds, Everett, Federal Way, Highline, Monroe, Mukilteo, Northshore, Olympia, Puyallup, Tacoma, Tukwila, and South Kitsap. He has also developed an Access database and reporting system for the Edmonds district (EPASS) that is used for school projections and staffing. In addition to his work at Educational Data Solutions, LLC, he continues to provide annual enrollment forecasts for six local schools districts, as well as long range updates for various other school districts in the Puget Sound.
